It has been confirmed that an employee working for our head office (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
The employee concerned was advised of having been in close contact with a COVID-19 patient via Contact Confirming Application on December 4 (Friday), and tested positive for COVID-19 on December 5 (Saturday) after a PCR test administered at a designated medical institution.
The results of a specific close-contact investigation to identify the employee's movement history and potential infections within the same workplace carried out by the company under the direction of our jurisdictional Public Health Center confirmed no other close-contact employees within the company.
Having received confirmation of the positive test, we immediately contacted the management company in charge of the building we occupy, established contact with our jurisdictional Public Health Center and other related institutions, and implemented the following actions based on predetermined policies enacted to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections.
- The employee concerned is currently recuperating in a designated hotel under the direction of the Public Health Center.
- The entire office and other pertinent locations have been disinfected under the direction of the Public Health Center.
We would like to extend our deepest apologies for any anxiety this may have caused.
Taiyo Oil will continue to prioritize the safety of all business clients, employees, and their families by adopting various initiatives to prevent the spread of infection so that we can continue with our business affairs in a stable fashion.
