Group Company Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19

 It has been confirmed that an employee who works at the Taiyo Oil group company Nansei Sekiyu K.K. (Nishihara-cho, Okinawa Prefecture / President & CEO: Ichiro Isooka) is infected with COVID-19.

 The employee in question developed a fever in the morning of April 15 (Thu.) and received a PCR test at a medical institution, and then it was determined on April 16 (Fri.) that the employee is positive for the virus.

 The results of a specific close-contact investigation to identify the employee's movement history and potential infections within the same workplace carried out under the direction of the jurisdictional Public Health Center confirmed no other close-contact employees within Nansei Sekiyu.

 In response to the discovery of an employee infected with COVID-19, Nansei Sekiyu has been implementing the following responses in coordination with the jurisdictional Public Health Center and so on.

Response Status

  1.  The employee concerned is currently recuperating at a medical treatment facility for persons with mild symptoms under the direction of the Public Health Center.
  2.  Work is being carried out to disinfect the interiors of Nansei Sekiyu offices and so on.

 

 We would like to extend our deepest apologies to local residents and all other related persons for any anxiety this may have caused. The discovery of an employee infected with COVID-19 will not have any effect on the supply of oil products to Taiyo Oil.

 Taiyo Oil and Taiyo Oil group companies will continue to prioritize the safety of all business clients, employees, and their families by adopting various initiatives to prevent the spread of infection so that we can continue with our business affairs in a stable fashion.
