This year again, Taiyo Oil donates desk pads to elementary school first graders

2021.05.10

~We donated a total of 3,255 desk pads to all first graders in Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture, and Ube City and Sanyo-Onoda City in Yamaguchi Prefecture.~

Taiyo Oil Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Yutaka Oka) is pleased to announce that it has again this year donated original desk pads to all first graders students at elementary schools in Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture, where Shikoku Operations is located, and Ube City and Sanyo-Onoda City in Yamaguchi Prefecture, where Yamaguchi Operations is located, and that we have received letters of appreciation from the mayors of Ube City and Sanyo-Onoda City.

The donated desk pads have easy-to-understand pop art style illustrations of various familiar products made from petroleum, the roles played by our operations, and so on. They were designed to make children interested in petroleum and the industries of their own region, and also to assist their career education so that they may consider a petroleum-related career as one of their future career options.

Through such activities, Taiyo Oil will continue to support the education of the children of local communities who will lead the next generation.
