Donation of total of 3,050 desk pads to all first graders in Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture, and Ube City and Sanyo-Onoda City in Yamaguchi Prefecture

Taiyo Oil Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Yutaka Oka) has donated original desk pads to soon-to-be first-grade elementary-school students in Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture, and Ube City and Sanyo-Onoda City in Yamaguchi Prefecture, where its offices are located, and has received letters of appreciation regarding this from the mayors of Ube City and Sanyo-Onoda City.

The donated desk pads have easy-to-understand pop-art-style illustrations depicting the applications of petroleum, roles played by the offices, and so on. They were designed to make children interested in the industries of their own region, and also to assist their career education so that they may consider a petroleum-related career as one of their future career options.

Through such activities, Taiyo Oil will continue to support the education of the children of local communities who will lead the next generation.
