Taiyo Oil to implement periodic repair work at Shikoku Operations

 On May 17 (Tue.), 2022, based on the stipulations of laws and ordinances such as the High Pressure Gas Safety Act and Fire Service Act, Taiyo Oil will begin systematically stopping equipment at Shikoku Operations in order to perform periodic repair work.

 During the period of the periodic repair work, Shikoku Operations will be visited by a large number of work-related personnel from Ehime Prefecture and other locations. Thus, Taiyo Oil recognizes that it will be necessary to further strengthen efforts to prevent and protect against the spread of COVID-19, and will therefore thoroughly carry out the following measures.
 Furthermore, Taiyo Oil anticipates that at some times of the day during the period of the periodic repair work, there will be traffic congestion at National Route 196, which faces Shikoku Operations.
 The company intends to provide information regarding the situation as necessary, and hopes to receive the understanding and cooperation of all persons concerned.

Time period of maintenance work

 May 17(Tue.) to August 24(Sun.)<Planned>

Number of personnel engaging in maintenance work

 Average of about 1000 per day (with peak of around 3000)

COVID-19 measures

(1)Travel to Ehime Prefecture

 〇Keeping records of body temperature starting two weeks prior to arrival, and documenting places visited
 〇In the case of visitors from prefectures other than Ehime Prefecture, PCR testing prior to visit and
        confirmation of negative results

(2) Thorough health management

 〇Daily taking of body temperature and health management regarding employees and
  all work-related personnel
 〇Quarantining at home or hotel if fever or other sign of ill health has been confirmed
 〇Taking of body temperature with non-contact-type thermometer when entering workplaces

(3)Preventive measures while at work

 〇Thorough handwashing, gargling, and adherence to coughing etiquette
 〇Frequent and thorough disinfecting and cleaning
 〇Suspending morning meetings and other large meetings, and limiting numbers of meeting participants
 〇In offices, conscientious mask-wearing, installation of partitions, and ventilation
 〇Limiting of number of people in smoking areas

(4)Other measures for preventing infection

 〇Promoting use of specialized buses for transportation between parking areas and office areas,
  and making an effort to reduce congestion and increase social distancing
 〇Voluntarily refraining from going on nonessential, non-urgent outings, and visiting locations
         that constitute the “three Cs”
  (closed spaces with poor ventilation, and crowded and close-contact settings)
