Taiyo Oil contributed a donation to Matsuyama City to support the recovery efforts for the landslide disaster that occurred in the city center in July of this year. In recognition of this contribution, we have received a letter of appreciation from Matsuyama City.

A presentation ceremony was held at Matsuyama City Hall on December 13, where Taiyo Oil was represented by Takakazu Matsuura, Representative Member of the Board and Senior Vice President, and Yuichi Watabe, General Manager of the General Affairs Department.

Senior Vice President Matsuura expressed Taiyo Oil’s commitment to support the recovery effort, stating, “As a company operating with a Head Office annex in Matsuyama City, we were deeply saddened by this landslide disaster. We extend our condolences and sympathies to those affected and sincerely hope for the swift recovery of Matsuyama Castle, a symbol of the city.” In response, Mayor Katsuhito Noshi of Matsuyama City stated, “We will make effective use of this donation. We are also deeply grateful for the prepaid fuel cards that were provided immediately after the disaster.” In addition to the disaster recovery donation, Taiyo Oil also donated SOLATO prepaid fuel cards. These were intended to help cover fuel costs for the official vehicles that Matsuyama City provided to evacuation centers, ensuring transportation for those forced to live in shelters.

Moving forward, Taiyo Oil will continue to engage in various support activities to help people regain their daily lives in the event of natural disasters or other emergencies.
