The former Nansei Sekiyu K.K. joined the Taiyo Oil Group in December 2016 and was absorbed and merged with Taiyo Oil on December 1, 2024 to become Okinawa Operations. Going forward, Okinawa Operations will continue to fulfill its mission of providing a stable supply of petroleum products to Okinawa Prefecture. At the same time, Okinawa Operations will study issues, such as the commercialization of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel manufacturing toward achieving carbon neutrality.
Obtained license for the reclamation of a public water body (total area of 660,000 ㎡) to construct a refinery that produces 80,000 barrels (approximately 13,000 kiloliters) per day.
